She was the mother of eleven children, two sons and nine daughters, two of whom, a son and a daughter, she has followed to the grave. Henry spent his early years in Richland County. He was a visiting professor at the University of Texas from 1955 to 1956 and as the visiting associate professor at the University of Oregon from 1962 to 1964.
